Front Office Agent - Luxury Hotel

About the role

SIRO One Za'abeel, a Kerzner International brand focused on fitness, wellness and lifestyle hospitality, is hiring a Front Desk Agent. The role runs the daily activities, reporting and operations of the Front Desk Department and delivers a high level of customer service in a luxury boutique hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the flow of questions in the lobby, support tracking and resolution of service issues, and handle guest complaints and disputes
• Provide immediate assistance to guests, record guest issues in the guest response tracking system and follow LQA standards
• Follow upselling programs, and carry out check-ins and check-outs, including passport data collection and timely due outs
• Be familiar with room types, rates, discounts and rate policies, and provide reports to Finance
• Ensure credit control limits are respected, balance the float, cash and credit card takings, and complete cashier reports
• Check the daily arrival list, assign rooms by category and guest preference, and coordinate closely with Housekeeping on check-outs and room moves
• Enter all charges correctly on the guest folio, complete the daily checklist and handover, and help with other duties requested by management

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a luxury or boutique hotel Front Office department
• Proficiency in hospitality guest services; previous guest service and reservations experience preferred
• Fluent verbal and written English; other languages are a plus
• Lively personality, good listening and comprehension skills, and a positive attitude towards sport activities
