Frontend Engineer – React & TypeScript

About the role

Space42 is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join its development team and build high‑performance user interfaces for a Big Data analytics platform. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and backend engineers to turn UI/UX designs into responsive, secure, and scalable web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Create reusable UI components and libraries for long‑term scalability.
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, high‑quality interfaces.
• Optimize performance, accessibility, security, and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Lead frontend architecture decisions and enforce engineering best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate REST, GraphQL, and real‑time APIs.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and roadmap execution.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern frameworks (React preferred).
• Experience with GIS libraries such as Mapbox or Cesium.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with state‑management tools (Redux, MobX) and build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
• Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest) and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
