Full Professor in Educational Research

About the role

Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) seeks internationally recognised scholars to join its research‑intensive community at the Full Professor rank. The role focuses on leading high‑impact educational research that informs policy, practice and contributes to regional and global knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead an internationally recognised research programme aligned with SEA’s strategic priorities.
• Design, conduct and publish high‑quality original research using quantitative, qualitative, mixed‑methods or interdisciplinary approaches.
• Secure competitive national and international research funding and lead collaborative proposals.
• Supervise and mentor doctoral students, post‑doctoral researchers and early‑career academics.
• Maintain strong citation impact, serve on editorial boards and act as peer reviewer for leading journals.

Required profile

• PhD in Education from a recognised university.
• Minimum ten years of service at Full Professor level with a distinguished research record.
• Evidence of sustained academic leadership, high Scopus h‑index and strong citation performance.
• Track record of publishing in Q1/Q2 Scopus‑indexed journals and securing major research grants.

Required skills

• Expertise in one or more educational disciplines such as educational leadership, teacher education, early childhood, special & inclusive education, educational technology, AI, curriculum & instruction, assessment, or policy.
• Ability to lead interdisciplinary research projects and build partnerships with universities, research institutions and international organisations.
