Full Professor – Public Health & Epidemiology

About the role

The Institute of Public Health at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University, seeks a full‑time Full Professor in Public Health and Epidemiology. The successful candidate will lead high‑impact research, secure competitive funding, supervise postgraduate students, and contribute to teaching and academic leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an internationally visible research programme in public health or epidemiology.
• Secure and lead externally funded research projects as Principal Investigator.
• Supervise and mentor MPH, PhD students, post‑doctoral researchers, and junior faculty.
• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in public health and epidemiology.
• Support curriculum development and enhancement of academic programmes.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations within UAEU and with external partners.
• Establish links with health authorities, government agencies, and international research organisations.
• Contribute to academic administration and service at institute, college, and university levels.

Required profile

• Distinguished and sustained record of scholarly achievement in public health, epidemiology, or related fields.
• Internationally recognised research profile with publications in reputable peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience in obtaining competitive research funding and leading research teams.
• Proven track record of postgraduate supervision and mentorship.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence and curriculum development.
• Ability to engage with national health priorities and build partnerships with external stakeholders.
