Gas Turbine Fitter – Industrial Overhaul

About the role

Responsible for the repair and overhaul of industrial gas turbines, power turbines and associated accessories and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain standards of engineering, appearance, timekeeping, discipline and housekeeping.
• Perform receipt, bulk strip, detail strip, sub‑assembly and final build of industrial gas turbines and power turbines.
• Train internal employees on turbine overhaul procedures.
• Adhere to and complete all procedures and documentation controlling the overhaul process.
• Accurately record all critical fits and clearances.
• Highlight and report critical out‑of‑tolerance measurements and other non‑conforming issues.
• Ensure safe and correct use of all equipment and specialised tooling, reporting any defects immediately.

Required profile

• ITI, SVQ Graduate (or equivalent) or similar technical qualification.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience overhauling and repairing gas turbines.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Knowledge of gas turbine repair and refurbishment.
• Experience as a senior workshop member in a fabrication, repair or construction environment.
