General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the finance team in daily accounting tasks, month‑end close, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and accurately record all financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and customer invoicing.
• Reconcile bank statements and verify cash balances.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Assist with month‑end close activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and support internal and external audits.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management.
• Improve accounting processes, contribute to system enhancements and automation.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to resolve financial issues.
• Support tax compliance and regulatory reporting as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CA, or ACCA certification preferred.
• 3+ years of hands‑on accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control practices.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
