General Insurance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven General Insurance Manager to lead underwriting, policy administration and claims management across multiple insurance lines. Based in Dubai, you will be responsible for driving portfolio profitability, ensuring compliance and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate complex risks, approve quotations and provide technical guidance for Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet and SME lines.
• Lead and mentor underwriting teams, conduct training and ensure quality control of proposals and policy documents.
• Negotiate premiums, terms and conditions with insurers and support sales teams in client meetings and renewals.
• Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations and refunds while maintaining regulatory and KYC compliance.
• Collaborate with sales to win new business, track market trends and drive cross‑selling and revenue growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in general insurance underwriting and portfolio management.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building abilities with insurers and clients.
• In‑depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the UAE insurance market.
