General Manager

About the role

ABC Cargo UAE is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead cargo and courier operations, improve business performance, and drive sustainable growth across the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead branch operations and teams to deliver reliable, efficient service.
• Manage operational performance, budgets, profitability, and cost control.
• Drive sales growth, customer retention, and business development.
• Improve shipment turnaround times, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Strengthen operational processes, performance reporting, and compliance.
• Develop department heads and ensure accountability across teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in cargo, courier, or logistics, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• UAE or GCC logistics management experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE market and multi‑branch operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance and achieve operational targets.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
