General Manager – Travel Platform JV (GCC)

About the role

This senior leadership position will establish, launch, and scale a joint‑venture travel platform across the GCC. The General Manager will combine market launch leadership, commercial partnership development, regulatory navigation, and operational execution to build a modern travel ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the JV entity in the UAE, securing all required regulatory and licensing approvals (travel license, IATA pathway).
• Build and manage airline, tourism board, and strategic partnership relationships.
• Launch the platform commercially across GCC markets and drive growth in flights, ancillaries, and premium services.
• Coordinate closely with remote technology and product teams.
• Manage board reporting, JV governance, and financial performance.
• Recruit, develop, and lead the local commercial team.

Required profile

• 10–15+ years experience in digital platforms, marketplaces, e‑commerce or travel.
• Proven track record scaling businesses in the GCC.
• Managed regional P&L or country‑level operations.
• Strong partnership, commercial negotiation, and government/regulatory navigation skills.
• Entrepreneurial operator capable of building an organization from zero.
