General Technician – Staff Accommodation

About the role

We are seeking a reliable General Technician to maintain the staff accommodation at our remote resort. You will ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for team members by handling a variety of repair and preventive tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive and corrective maintenance across staff accommodation buildings.
• Respond to maintenance requests for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, air‑conditioning and general building issues.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, facilities and equipment to identify needs.
• Clean, service and carry out preventive maintenance on air‑conditioning units.
• Execute minor electrical repairs, plumbing work, painting and other general tasks.
• Address maintenance complaints and emergencies promptly.
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials in good condition.
• Report major defects and support specialized contractors when required.
• Keep work areas tidy and follow health, safety and accommodation policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a General Technician, Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Hands‑on knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, AC, painting and general maintenance.
• Experience in staff accommodation, hotel, resort or residential property maintenance is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Safety‑conscious, reliable and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Readiness to live and work in a remote resort location.
