Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

The Geotechnical Engineer will lead soil‑structure interaction analyses, foundation design, and geotechnical investigations for building and infrastructure projects. The role involves providing technical recommendations, preparing detailed reports, and supporting client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform soil classification, strength and stability assessments, and load‑bearing capacity analysis.
• Deliver third‑party design verification, construction guidance, and design optimisation for foundations and underground works.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and attend client and authority meetings.
• Participate in commercial activities, tender preparation, and knowledge‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (post‑graduate preferred) with at least 5 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer.
• Proven experience in independent site investigations, complex soil analysis, foundation design, and client interaction.
• Familiarity with international building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

Required skills

• Soil mechanics, foundation design, piling and shoring design.
• Finite element modelling and software such as AutoCAD, PLAXIS, GIS.
• Geophysical survey techniques (GPR, borehole investigation) and laboratory soil testing.
• Statistical analysis, risk prediction, and 3D ground modelling.
