Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join its Dubai South team. You will lead the design and analysis of complex geotechnical solutions for major infrastructure and development projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical investigations, assess parameters, and develop ground models for various design situations.
• Design shallow and deep foundations, earthworks, slopes, excavations, lateral supports, and ground improvement measures.
• Conduct liquefaction assessments and provide technical guidance on geotechnical challenges.
• Prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of professional geotechnical engineering experience on infrastructure, transportation, or large‑scale building projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS, GEO‑STUDIO, RS2, Sigma/W, and Seep/W.
• Experience using modeling tools like Repute, Group, LPile, PDisp, Settle 3D, CPeT‑IT, CLiq, and Liquefy‑Pro.
