Group Supply Chain Director – FMCG (Kuala Lumpur)

About the role

The Group Supply Chain Director will lead a newly created supply chain function for a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturer. Reporting to the VP – FMCG, the role is based in Kuala Lumpur and is responsible for shaping end‑to‑end sourcing, planning, manufacturing coordination and logistics across the company’s operations in Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with overall business goals.
• Lead demand planning, supply planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to optimise inventory and service levels.
• Design sourcing strategies for raw and packaging materials, negotiate supplier agreements and manage supplier performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimise production schedules, improve plant utilisation and drive waste reduction.
• Oversee inventory management, safety‑stock policies and working‑capital performance.
• Manage the annual supply chain budget, identify cost‑saving opportunities and monitor financial performance.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing supply chain leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Drive digital transformation through ERP optimisation, analytics dashboards and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 15–20 years of progressive experience in supply chain management.
• Proven leadership of end‑to‑end supply chain functions in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver cost‑competitiveness, operational excellence and digital transformation.
