Gymnastics Coach (FIG Level 2 Preferred)

About the role

A premium sports and fitness facility in Abu Dhabi is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Gymnastics Coach. The successful candidate will deliver safe, progressive and engaging artistic gymnastics sessions for children and participants of different ages and ability levels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured artistic gymnastics lessons, teaching techniques, movement patterns, strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.
• Adapt sessions to each participant's age, ability and development level, and create a fun, safe, positive and inclusive environment.
• Support participants' technique, confidence, fitness and performance, and monitor their development with constructive feedback.
• Follow safeguarding, child-protection, health and safety and risk-management procedures, and maintain professional boundaries with children and young people.
• Inspect equipment before use, report damage or safety concerns, and keep equipment and programme supplies organised.
• Deliver at least five group lessons per working day on the approved schedule.
• Support competitions, showcases, camps, workshops and community events, and promote the programme within the facility, schools and the wider community.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment and programme records, and take part in coach education and continuing professional development.

Required profile

• Nationally or internationally recognised gymnastics coaching qualification; FIG Level 2 preferred.
• At least two years of professional experience as a Gymnastics Coach or Trainer.
• Experience coaching participants of different ages and ability levels, and with recreational and/or competitive gymnastics.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child-protection responsibilities; a valid safeguarding or child-protection certification is preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in a gymnastics academy, youth sports organisation or commercial sports facility, and supporting competitions, camps or community programmes, is preferred.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of gymnastics techniques, lesson planning and safe coaching practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to demonstrate techniques safely and explain instructions clearly.
• Patient, encouraging, energetic and attentive to detail.
