Head Hostess - Monkey Bar

About the role

The 25hours Hotel One Central in Dubai is looking for a Head Hostess for its Monkey Bar. The role leads the reception/hostess team, sets standards and drives sales and reservations, while coordinating events and building relationships with hotel concierges.

Key responsibilities

• Train all reception/hostess team members, assign areas of responsibility and help with performance evaluations
• Post positive comments for all staff and review negative ones with the FOH Manager and Venue Manager
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly rosters with the Operations team and run daily team meetings when the Venue Manager is absent
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety procedures and stock control of stationery and equipment
• Drive revenue through up-selling on events and party night tables, develop sales strategies and suggest new themes based on industry trends
• Manage the reservations and table management system, the database and reporting templates, and the yearly marketing calendar
• Build relationships with hotel concierges, track their reservations and run the appreciation programme
• Plan and run group events, parties and festive events, manage guest lists on theme nights and follow up guests after events
• Follow up on the weekly "What's on" sheet and attend external networking events as directed

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in food and beverage or hospitality
• Hotel or upscale venue operational experience
• Proven leadership, mentoring and team development experience
• Event planning and coordination experience
• Middle East hospitality experience preferred

Required skills

• Reservation and table management systems
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Sales and revenue management, including upselling
• Knowledge of licensing, health and safety and venue compliance
