Head of Art – Immediate Start – AY 2026

About the role

Aldar Education, the leading education group in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Head of Art to join its network of schools for the academic year 2026. The role will lead the art department, inspire students, and support the group’s vision of innovative, inclusive learning.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the academy in achieving its overall vision and strategic intentions as set out in the improvement plan.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, equal‑opportunity, and performance‑management policies.
• Participate in annual training on child protection, safeguarding and health & safety.
• Plan and deliver art lessons that create a climate conducive to outstanding learning, set clear objectives and assess student progress.

Required profile

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree and PGCE certification.
• At least 6 years of teaching experience in Art, with strong experience delivering the English National Curriculum.
• Experience in an international school and working with students for whom English is not the first language is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the English curriculum and its latest developments.
• Familiarity with UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations related to curriculum, assessment and compliance.
