Head of Cloud Infrastructure & Production (UAE Candidates Only)

About the role

Suadeo is looking for a Head of Cloud Infrastructure & Production to transform its cloud from a reactive support function into a proactive, world-class reliability and production organization. The role owns the operational health of customer-facing production environments across multiple countries and covers availability, reliability, performance, security, resilience, scalability and operational quality. It is open only to UAE-based candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a secure, scalable and resilient cloud strategy and modernize multi-cloud/multi-region environments, reducing technical debt.
• Establish engineering standards, reference architectures and disciplined production governance (access, change, risk, documentation).
• Transition to proactive SRE practices with SLAs, SLOs and SLIs, and embed DevSecOps into production operations.
• Build and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans against defined RTO/RPO, and run regular drills.
• Own production health across Kubernetes, databases, storage, certificates, backups and capacity, and establish runbooks and operational ownership.
• Lead incident, problem and change management, including major incidents, on-call models and root-cause analysis.
• Drive observability (monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting), capacity planning and cloud cost optimization.
• Promote CI/CD, IaC, GitOps and automation, and partner with R&D on release readiness.
• Assess and evolve the infrastructure, cloud, DevOps and SRE operating model, and recruit, mentor and develop technical talent.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, SRE or production operations.
• 5+ years in senior technology leadership of critical, customer-facing production environments.
• Proven track record leading teams through major incidents, operational transformation and production governance.
• Strong understanding of SRE, cloud operating models, CI/CD, automation and ITIL-aligned practices.
