Head of Communications – Global Sustainability Initiative

About the role

The initiative is looking for an experienced Head of Communications to shape and execute a global communications strategy that amplifies sustainability stories and drives audience engagement across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver annual communications plans, KPIs and performance reporting.
• Implement thought‑leadership, media relations, content creation and messaging strategies.
• Design and execute event‑specific communications and lead strategic initiatives.
• Lead and manage domestic and international PR agencies, measuring ROI.
• Provide executive communications support, including speeches, presentations and internal messaging.
• Oversee news releases, fact sheets and distribution via agencies and internal channels.
• Maintain media relationships and handle incoming inquiries.
• Direct digital communications plans, including social media, website development and influencer engagement.
• Manage content across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), YouTube and LinkedIn, including senior leadership’s LinkedIn presence.
• Monitor issues, maintain the crisis communications plan and manage spokesperson participation at conferences.
• Contribute to the annual communications budget planning and monitoring.

Required profile

• MBA or equivalent Master’s degree from a top‑tier, internationally recognised institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication or a related field.
• Extensive senior corporate communications experience in large, reputable organisations.
• Proven track record managing teams delivering corporate communications and content.
• UAE experience with strong knowledge of local sustainability regulations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a consultative approach.
• Strong project and budget management capabilities.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of sustainability and marketing trends and diverse communications channels.
