Head of Early Years (Bilingual)

About the role

SMS Private School is seeking a bilingual Head of Early Years to lead its Kindergarten (KG) division in Dubai. Reporting directly to the Principal, the role champions best practices in early years pedagogy and fosters a nurturing, inclusive and high-performing environment for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Early Years section, driving excellence in teaching and learning outcomes
• Inspire, mentor and develop KG teachers through coaching and professional feedback
• Build a collaborative, child-centered culture focused on continuous growth
• Oversee implementation of the American curriculum in line with international benchmarks and UAE standards
• Monitor learning through observations, assessment data and quality assurance practices
• Build strong relationships with parents and families, and represent the KG program at open days, tours and community events
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements, including KHDA expectations, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of Early Years experience (leadership experience preferred)
• Experience with an American curriculum; UAE or international school experience highly desirable
