Head of Engineering – Furniture Manufacturing, FF&E & Joinery

About the role

We are looking for a senior engineering leader to head our Furniture Manufacturing, FF&E and Joinery division. Reporting to the CTO, you will oversee the creation of technical documentation, shop drawings and 3D models for luxury hospitality, high‑end residential and premium commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers and draftsmen, allocating resources across multiple projects.
• Establish engineering procedures, drafting standards and document‑control systems.
• Oversee production of detailed shop drawings, production drawings and 3D models, ensuring accuracy and revision control.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables before client submission and production release.
• Collaborate with design, project management, procurement and manufacturing to verify manufacturability and technical feasibility.
• Provide technical guidance on materials, finishes, fabrication methods and detailing solutions.
• Identify fabrication and installation risks, develop practical solutions and support production and installation teams.
• Monitor engineering KPIs related to quality, accuracy, revisions and delivery timelines.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing or related engineering fields.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams in a fast‑paced, high‑quality environment.
• Strong understanding of luxury hospitality, high‑end residential and commercial project requirements.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across design, procurement and production functions.
