Head of Global Markets Middle Office

About the role

The Head of Global Markets Middle Office is responsible for overseeing the complete trade lifecycle across all Global Markets products, ensuring accurate capture, validation, settlement and reconciliation while driving a zero‑tolerance culture for operational risk.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end trade lifecycle from booking to settlement, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Establish and enforce a robust operational control framework, monitor Key Risk Indicators and continuously reassess operational risks.
• Lead the global Regional Dealer Assist teams, set performance objectives, mentor managers and staff, and ensure succession planning and high engagement.
• Manage relationships with senior Front Office leaders, Risk, Compliance and Operations executives, as well as external counterparties such as prime brokers, custodians and clearing houses.
• Direct the four key areas of the GM ZERO Middle Office: Client Activation & Data Readiness, Trade Execution & Controls, Exceptions Management & Reconciliation, and related governance processes.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a middle‑office or operations function within Global Markets.
• Deep understanding of trade booking, validation, settlement and reconciliation processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior trading and risk teams.
• Track record of building high‑performing, globally distributed teams.
