Head of Marine Claims (DIFC)

About the role

The Head of Marine Claims will lead the marine claims practice within the DIFC hub, delivering expert advice and solutions to our clients in the region. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing claim negotiations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with primary budget holders and decision makers across client organisations.
• Negotiate optimal claim settlements using deep technical and market knowledge.
• Produce collection documents, manage fund flows between market participants and clients.
• Ensure all contracts are processed in line with FCA and contract certainty requirements.
• Deliver high-quality client service in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Create tailored proposals to maximise client retention and profitability.
• Collaborate with underwriters in London and international markets to support placement and broking activities.
• Participate in information-gathering exercises and prepare client presentations.

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service in the insurance sector.
• Strong practical knowledge of strategic account development and insurance market dynamics.
• Experience working with global insurance products and understanding of competitor offerings.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing abilities.
