Head Real Estate, Property and Finance

About the role

Mashreq is looking for a Head of Real Estate, Property and Finance in Dubai. The role manages the bank's real estate, property and finance functions, supervising property units in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah and overseeing the financial and operational performance of all Mashreq real estate and properties. It acts as the central interface between administration and business groups on financial approvals, rent chargeability, compliance, risk, vendor payments, management reporting and centralized LPOs through Oracle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the finance strategy for the portfolio of bank premises, offices and owned properties, and prepare and monitor the annual budget for the Admin department and owned buildings.
• Control timely release of payments to vendors and suppliers via Oracle Financials (Accounts Payable), ensuring accuracy against invoices, due authority and receipts, and avoiding duplicate payments.
• Supervise monthly reconciliation of prepaid and sundry accounts and general ledgers with CAD, and oversee capitalization of admin projects.
• Manage bank-owned properties: maximize occupancy, collect rent on time, negotiate renewals and leases, and handle sales and purchases of bank properties.
• Handle rental requests, service charges, RERA and land department matters for branches, EBSU, ATMs and offices, and prepare information for regulatory authorities.
• Lead local and remote teams, manage overseas and MGN locations, and provide training and guidance to overseas and COE teams.
• Ensure compliance with audit recommendations and support unit heads with detailed MIS and analysis.

• Ability to supervise property units across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah and lead teams locally and remotely.
