Head Waitress - Lobby Lounge

About the role

Raffles Dubai invites applications for a Head Waitress in Raffles Salon, its award-winning lobby lounge. The role supports colleagues and leaders in delivering high-quality service and standards and improving guest satisfaction through positive engagement and communication. It reports to the Outlets Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain LQA service standards and read daily reports and hotel updates; acknowledge VIP arrivals and report to shift 10 minutes early.
• Know all food and beverage menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods, and present children's menus and specials.
• Serve and clear food and beverage items professionally, carry trays, bus and reset tables, and use the POS system for sales, checks and cash-out.
• Handle guest problems, follow cash and credit card procedures, and keep the outlet clean and orderly.
• Operate the coffee machine, make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and keep the workstation stocked with condiments.
• Follow safety, sanitation, HACCP and hygiene policies, and assist in training and mentoring colleagues.
• Perform opening and closing duties, help with inventory, and support the supervisor with briefings and targets.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of hotel experience, including at least 1 year in a 5-star luxury operation.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral English, with strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Extensive wine and cuisine knowledge, well-presented and courteous to guests and colleagues.
• Trainer with solid motivational and teamwork skills, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and up-selling skills.
• Knowledge of Micros and Opera systems and the cashiering process.
• Ability to use the operating systems at Raffles Dubai.
