Health & Dietetic Coordinator

About the role

Emirates Flight Catering is looking for a Health & Dietetic Coordinator in Dubai. The role provides expert nutritional advice across the business, with a focus on new and emerging commercial sectors, and ensures nutritional compliance with best practice and global standards covering nutritional analysis, labelling, nutritional claims and allergen declaration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nutritional analysis and dietary information for new and existing products to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry and global best practice for all nutritional data so that dietary information is safe and accurate.
• Provide accurate allergen declarations for products in line with local and global standards.
• Assist in developing, governing and maintaining a company-wide allergen database.
• Communicate with key stakeholders to deliver dietetic services in line with client contractual agreements.
• Modify menus according to specific dietary requests, such as medical, religious or other needs.
• Investigate, document and fix deviations from agreed dietary standards to improve service.
• Help deliver allergen awareness training to food production staff to meet mandatory training requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related Food Science subject.
• 5 years of relevant experience in a dietetic or food industry environment.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of nutritional analysis software.
• Knowledge of food labelling and nutrition claims legislation.
• Knowledge of catering and food service, including supply chain, food safety and HACCP.
• Menu planning and converting nutrient recommendations into food and menus.
• Troubleshooting special dietary requests such as food allergies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, record keeping and reporting.
