Waiter - Food & Beverage

About the role

Accor is hiring a waiter for its hotel in Dubai. The role covers serving and clearing food and beverage, handling payments, keeping the restaurant tidy and supporting the outlet's service standards. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Read daily reports and hotel updates, acknowledge VIP arrivals and report to the shift 10 minutes early
• Know all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods and explain them politely to guests
• Serve and clear food and beverage professionally, using trays and appropriate service ware
• Use the POS system to ring up sales, print checks, close checks and complete cash-out procedures
• Carry trays, bus and reset tables with linen, china, glassware and silverware
• Handle guest problems and report them to the supervisor or manager, along with the resolution
• Follow cash and credit card procedures and keep the restaurant clean and orderly
• Polish cutlery, refill condiments, operate the coffee machine and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
• Keep the workstation stocked, maintain equipment, follow safety, sanitation and HACCP policies, and help minimise waste and breakages
• Perform opening and closing duties, assist colleagues during peak hours and on extended shifts, and support the management in supervision and training
• Take part in daily shift briefings, conduct equipment and beverage inventories, and carry out cleaning and maintenance of the outlet

Required profile

• Experience in food and beverage service
• Strong supervisory skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
• Commitment to exceptional guest service and personal integrity
• Ability to solve problems creatively and work well with colleagues and other departments
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
