High School Humanities Learning Coach

About the role

iCademy Middle East is seeking a High School Humanities Learning Coach to provide daily academic guidance and support to high‑school students within its Knowledge Hub. The coach will work closely with online teachers and academic advisors to ensure students progress in History, Geography and Social Studies while developing independent learning skills.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor student progress, grades, course completion, deadlines and outstanding assignments.
• Provide targeted support in Humanities, History, Geography and Social Studies, including research, source analysis and essay planning.
• Assist students in understanding assignment instructions and assessment expectations without completing work on their behalf.
• Help students develop effective time‑management, organization, study and independent learning skills.
• Identify students who are falling behind, communicate concerns to relevant staff and implement appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with online teachers, Academic Advisors, ELL and Inclusion/SEND teams to support diverse learning needs.
• Monitor attendance, engagement, behavior and wellbeing while students are at the Hub.
• Maintain professional communication with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
• Promote academic integrity and responsible use of AI and digital learning tools.
• Support daily operations of the Knowledge Hub, including supervision, assessments, orientations and events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, History, Geography or Social Studies.
• Valid teaching qualification or license.
• Minimum five years of experience teaching, tutoring or supporting high‑school students in Humanities subjects.
• Strong English communication and academic writing skills.
• Experience working with students individually and in small groups.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, teachers and school leadership.
• Commitment to an inclusive environment and experience with ELL / SEND students.
• Familiarity with an American curriculum.
