HIL Lab Technical Marketing Manager

About the role

The HIL Lab Technical Marketing Manager will lead the design, operation, and promotion of our Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) simulation facilities, ensuring grid‑code compliance for BESS and PV inverter projects while supporting sales and technical marketing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain CHIL and PHIL test environments using RTDS (RSCAD) and OPAL‑RT (HYPERSIM/RT‑LAB) platforms.
• Lead grid code verification for international standards such as IEEE 1547, VDE‑AR‑N 4110/4120, ER G99, NEM, etc.
• Oversee model validation for inverters, batteries, and Power Plant Controller logic.
• Implement automated testing frameworks (Python) to improve lab efficiency.
• Provide technical marketing support with simulation data, whitepapers, and client demonstrations.
• Manage lab operations, budgeting, procurement, safety compliance, and a team of HIL engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Control Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in power‑systems simulation, HIL testing, or inverter‑control validation.
• 2+ years in a leadership or principal engineer role.

Required skills

• Python programming for test automation.
• Experience with RTDS/RSCAD, OPAL‑RT, HYPERSIM, RT‑LAB platforms.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850.
• Understanding of grid‑code standards (IEEE 1547, VDE‑AR‑N, ER G99, NEM, etc.).
