Hostess for Italian Restaurant Chitarra

About the role

Join the Chitarra Italian restaurant team at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai as a Hostess. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless dining experience in a luxury setting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, manage seating arrangements and create a polished first impression.
• Handle reservations across all channels, maintain accurate records, and coordinate table assignments based on guest preferences.
• Communicate guest allergies, preferences, and special requests to service and kitchen teams.
• Provide menu and promotion information, assist with upselling beverages, and support billing when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a hostess in a luxury hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• High school qualification; hospitality or business degree is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written English; basic Italian is advantageous.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Table Management Systems and reservation software.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
