Housekeeping Intern

About the role

Grand Mercure Dubai City, a 5-star Accor hotel with 361 rooms, is looking for a Housekeeping Intern. The intern works as part of a team, follows hotel procedures and ensures rooms are kept clean and guests are satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Receive the daily assignment sheet from the Housekeeping office.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
• Clean rooms regularly according to hotel procedures.
• Follow health and safety rules.
• Arrange guest amenities, cleaning supplies, mini bar and clean linen properly on the trolley before starting work.
• Respond to guests' complaints positively and keep guests satisfied.
• Dust furnishings and walls and remove marks from them.
• Carry out floor care duties in hallways and guest rooms, including vacuuming carpets.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a recognised educational institution, pursuing a qualification in Hospitality.
• Passionate about service excellence and teamwork.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong determination to succeed in a demanding environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English.
