Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor in Dubai to oversee the daily operations of its award-winning Housekeeping department. The role leads and trains the housekeeping team, keeps rooms and public areas to luxury standards, monitors supplies and equipment, and ensures compliance with policies, brand standards and health and safety rules.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping department and respond quickly to guest needs
• Maintain guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces to FIVE's luxury standards
• Inspire, train and mentor the team in cleaning techniques, safety protocols and guest service
• Monitor usage of housekeeping supplies and equipment and keep inventory well stocked
• Resolve guest concerns immediately and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and brand standards
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly and report improvements needed
• Work closely with other departments and hand over issues to the next shift
• Keep records of room occupancy, maintenance requests and lost and found items
• Follow safety and security policies, report hazards and accidents, enforce PPE and chemical handling protocols, and complete required safety training
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Manager with the department budget

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a luxury hotel in the UAE
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality management or housekeeping training preferred
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
• Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong communication and organisational skills

Required skills

• Hotel PMS, specifically Opera
• Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of Forbes and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards is advantageous
