HR Policy Manager

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an HR Policy Manager to lead the design, governance and compliance of HR policies across its global operations. The role sits at the intersection of employment law, HR strategy and business transformation, ensuring policies are robust, legally compliant and support the airline’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, draft and maintain HR policies, contract templates and employee‑handbook content for multiple countries, in close partnership with Legal.
• Monitor employment‑law changes market‑by‑market and update policies to remain compliant.
• Manage the end‑to‑end version control, consistency and rollout of the policy and template library worldwide.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HR Business Partners, Legal and business leaders to drive change‑management initiatives and deliver HR briefings.
• Evaluate policy effectiveness, analyse HR data, gather stakeholder feedback and report on outcomes.
• Recommend improvements to boost employee engagement and operational efficiency based on data and best‑practice trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• 5‑8+ years of experience in employment law, HR policy or benefits, either from a legal or senior HR perspective.
• Minimum 3 years within a large, multinational organization with complex matrix reporting.
• Highly analytical with the ability to quantify cost and business impact of policy changes.
• Proactive “fix‑it” mindset, able to identify problems and implement solutions independently.

Required skills

• Strong drafting and writing abilities for policies, contracts and employee‑facing documentation.
• Experience with AI‑assisted drafting tools.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms, preferably SAP SuccessFactors or similar.
