HSE Manager - JAFZA Warehouse & Head Office Complex

About the role

Ultiwise Consult is recruiting an experienced HSE Manager for the JAFZA Warehouse and Head Office Complex in Dubai. The role leads all health, safety, environmental, fire safety and regulatory compliance activities, reporting to the General Manager / Director - Operations and managing HSE officers and safety supervisors. It aims to ensure full compliance with JAFZA, Trakhees-EHS, Dubai Civil Defense and UAE requirements while building a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with JAFZA, Trakhees-EHS, Dubai Civil Defense and UAE HSE regulations and act as the main liaison with regulators
• Lead risk assessments, HIRA, JSA and safe work procedures; manage warehouse safety programs including forklift operations, racking safety, loading bays, battery charging areas, contractors and hazardous materials
• Lead incident investigations, develop emergency response plans and run drills
• Manage environmental compliance, waste management and sustainability initiatives
• Deliver HSE training, inductions and awareness campaigns; lead internal and external audits and keep compliance documentation
• Stop unsafe work, escalate compliance risks, recommend disciplinary action for repeated violations and approve procedures, risk assessments and permits within delegated authority

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline
• Minimum 8-10 years of HSE experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role
• Mandatory experience in JAFZA, logistics, warehousing or distribution environments
• Preferred certifications: NEBOSH International Diploma or NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, Fire Marshal/Warden, First Aid & CPR, Incident Investigation and Risk Assessment training; preferred also CSP, GradIOSH/CMIOSH, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
