Security Officer

About the role

Hyde Hotels is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Dubai. The role covers access control, patrols, equipment checks and incident reporting to keep hotel premises secure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the premises, prevent unauthorised entry and manage visitor and contractor passes
• Carry out regular security patrols of internal and external areas, including monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV systems
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Provide traffic control and enforce parking restrictions as required
• Maintain all logbooks, records and documentation according to the Assignment Instructions
• Test security equipment routinely and report faults or defects
• Follow health and safety procedures and record and report hazards, unsafe practices and accidents to management
• Keep walkways and emergency escape routes clear at all times
• Investigate fire alarm activations and respond to emergencies following established protocols
• Support and guide staff, visitors and contractors while maintaining security
• Document and report security incidents, breaches and suspicious activities, and liaise with emergency services and external security personnel when needed
• Stay aware of current security threats and contribute to security awareness initiatives

Required profile

• Fluent English is essential
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
• Professional appearance and attitude
