HSSE Officer

About the role

The HSSE Officer will implement and maintain the Health, Safety, Security and Environment management system across United Diesel operations in Dubai, ensuring compliance with Al Rostamani Group standards and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and update HSSE policies, SOPs and guidelines in line with UAE federal and emirate regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments, and lead incident investigations to determine root causes.
• Deliver HSSE training programs and organise emergency drills for employees and contractors.
• Monitor environmental protection measures, hazardous waste disposal and support sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate with security teams, government authorities and department heads to maintain consistent HSSE standards across all sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Fire & Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Science.
• 3‑5 years of HSSE experience in automotive, logistics, manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with UAE health, safety and environmental regulations and international standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (Level 03) and first‑aid/fire safety certifications.
• Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Experience in developing HSSE policies, training programs and emergency response plans.
