Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

About the role

Terracotta is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to lead and build its internal HR function in Abu Dhabi. This hands‑on leadership role will establish HR policies, processes, payroll and culture from the ground up, supporting the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the HR function, providing guidance to management and partnering with senior leadership on workforce planning and HR priorities.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with UAE Labour Law and MOHRE regulations.
• Manage employee relations, including disciplinary matters, grievances, investigations, attendance and performance issues.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, probation, promotions, transfers and off‑boarding.
• Coordinate visa, labour and employment processes with the PRO and relevant stakeholders.
• Partner with Payroll, Finance, Operations and Talent Acquisition on HR requirements.
• Drive performance management, employee engagement and organizational development initiatives.
• Own HR reporting, headcount metrics and analytics to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, with substantial UAE exposure.
• Strong working knowledge of UAE Labour Law and MOHRE regulations.
• Proven experience developing HR policies, procedures and governance frameworks from inception.
• Extensive employee‑relations experience covering disciplinary, grievance and performance cases.
• Demonstrated ability to establish HR structures, strengthen processes and implement best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UAE Labour Law and MOHRE regulations.
