Human Resources Executive

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, hands‑on Human Resources Executive to lead the HR function of a transport company with 50‑80 employees, primarily truck drivers, mechanics and other blue‑collar staff. The role covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll coordination, attendance tracking and compliance with UAE Labour Law.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for drivers, mechanics, operators and office personnel, including job posting, screening, interviewing and offer preparation.
• Source candidates actively on LinkedIn and Indeed, verify licences, certificates and references, and maintain a ready pipeline of qualified blue‑collar talent.
• Coordinate onboarding, induction and documentation for all new hires.
• Serve as the daily HR contact for yard staff, maintaining a visible presence in the terminal and working closely with the Transport Manager on attendance and conduct.
• Enforce the company disciplinary code, track traffic fines, apply deductions and issue formal warnings in line with UAE Labour Law.
• Investigate misconduct, substance‑related issues and other violations, conduct hearings and, when necessary, process terminations.
• Maintain accurate physical and digital employee records, monitor contract renewals, visa and licence expiries, and ensure overall compliance with UAE labour regulations.
• Track attendance and leave, manage sick and annual leave using the company’s HR system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR management, preferably within a transport or logistics environment.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle a multicultural, blue‑collar workforce.
• Confident, decisive and able to enforce policies fairly and consistently.
• Comfortable working onsite in a yard/terminal environment.
