Humanities Teacher

About the role

Reach British School is looking for a Humanities Teacher. The role covers planning and delivering humanities lessons, keeping records up to date, supporting students' academic and social needs, and working closely with the psychology department and the academic coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance and send lesson plans by email to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator
• Prepare class materials and follow the general plans set out at the start of the year
• Maintain the grade book, enter grades on time, and design monthly assessments for each topic
• Grade all assigned work and decorate the classroom with lesson, activity and holiday materials
• Perform playground supervision and record daily attendance
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department on students with academic or behavioural issues, special needs and gifted learners, and act as a mediator between students and the psychologist
• Take part in teacher meetings, workshops, parent meetings and school activities, and help organise community service, fundraising, fairs and homework monitoring
• Follow the school's work schedule, which varies by grade level, and dress in uniform or according to institutional policy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in education
• Advanced English, fluent in speaking, reading and writing
• Proficiency in digital tools and intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Strong organisation, planning, analytical and communication skills, ability to work under pressure and leadership
