Primary School Teacher

About the role

Reach British School is looking for a Primary Teacher to support classroom instruction and the wellbeing of young children. The role works closely with the lead teacher to deliver lessons, manage behaviour and create a safe, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, learning activities and educational games aligned with the preschool curriculum.
• Supervise children during activities, playtime, meals and outdoor play, ensuring safety and encouraging positive behaviour.
• Help reinforce classroom rules and guide children in developing social and emotional skills.
• Prepare and organise classroom materials, resources and displays for hands-on learning.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free classroom and help sanitise toys, surfaces and equipment.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to children who need extra help or emotional support.
• Observe children's development and report concerns or progress to the lead teacher.
• Support daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals and rest time.
• Model respectful, inclusive behaviour and collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, Licenciatura en Educacion Preescolar or equivalent (required).
• TKT training course.
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of ISP principles, including safeguarding, wellbeing, diversity, equity and inclusion.

Required skills

• Patience and empathy with young children.
• Strong communication with children, teachers and parents.
• Observation skills to recognise developmental milestones or concerns.
• Teamwork, adaptability, cultural sensitivity and organisational skills.
