HVAC Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join the facilities team at Fairmont The Palm, a luxury resort on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The role involves maintaining mechanical and electrical systems across guest rooms, apartments, pool, spa and back‑of‑house areas to ensure uninterrupted guest comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on HVAC units, chillers, pumps, generators, and related mechanical equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks for fan coil units, exhaust fans, electrical distribution boards, dimmer panels, fire‑killers, kitchen equipment, and pool/spa systems.
• Inspect and service pool, spa, and related water‑treatment equipment, including sump pumps and ice‑machine filters.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls such as fire alarms, water flooding, or gas leaks.
• Maintain accurate logs for equipment readings, meter readings, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, use of PPE, and proper sign‑in/out of tools and equipment.
• Support guest room and apartment maintenance requests and coordinate with the RSM team.

Required profile

• Proven reliability and strong sense of responsibility.
• Previous experience in painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and general building maintenance is an asset.
• Experience with pool and spa maintenance preferred.
