IGW & IPTV Monitoring Engineer

About the role

du is looking for an IGW and IPTV Monitoring Engineer to act as technical and process lead for the operation and maintenance of the IPTV headend and middleware networks. The role covers 24/7 monitoring of IGW, fixed voice and IPTV KPIs, first-level troubleshooting and incident handling, and reporting to the team lead and manager.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily incidents and trouble tickets according to du's operational policies and scope of work.
• Maintain 24/7 monitoring of IGW, fixed voice and IPTV KPIs and ensure they meet du Network Standards.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting and monitoring, manage trouble tickets and keep the team lead and manager informed of incident progress.
• Ensure monitoring and analysis of vendor performance for incident handling.
• Support new projects and services acceptance from SOC Operations and monitor day-to-day activities within the Service Operations Centre.
• Prepare and maintain documentation manuals and diagrams of devices and solutions, and prepare incident technical reports.
• Build relationships with du and external parties such as business partners, commercial teams, customer operations and IT until faults are resolved.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of strong telecom knowledge and experience.
• Hands-on experience with Nokia and Huawei ATCA IGW, SBC and U2000 and NetAct.
• Sound knowledge of CS Core and Fixed Voice networks, including SIP protocol principles.
• Ability to work in a 24x7x365 environment, handle multiple tasks and network crises, and provide technical support to field teams and handle IPTV customer complaints.
