About the role
The Import Logistics Manager will develop and manage the Air, Sea, and Road freight vendor base across GCC markets, focusing on trade lanes from the Far East and India subcontinent.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute freight strategies for air, sea, and road across GCC markets.
- Manage relationships with airlines, liners, transporters, consolidators and freight partners.
- Conduct RFQs, tenders and negotiate rates, contracts, space allocations and SLAs.
- Monitor carrier performance, market trends and ensure compliance with GCC customs regulations.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure seamless shipments and resolve escalations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration or related field.
- 8‑10 years of experience in freight forwarding within the UAE/GCC market.
- Strong understanding of regional freight market dynamics and customs procedures.
Required skills
- Rate procurement and carrier negotiations.
- Pricing management and freight documentation.
- Experience with freight management systems.
