Information Technology Specialist (Emiratization)

About the role

The Information Technology Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Abu Dhabi. You will maintain and support TRENDS Group’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers and end‑user systems, ensuring reliable performance for the organization’s research and advisory activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and proactively address issues.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity problems.
• Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls and data‑protection policies.
• Provide technical support to employees and respond to service requests.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify technology needs and assist with system upgrades.
• Contribute to IT‑related projects that support the company’s mission.

Required profile

• Strong IT knowledge with familiarity of enterprise systems and standard IT frameworks.
• Network administration experience, including configuring and maintaining routers and switches.
• Network security expertise, such as implementing security policies and managing firewalls.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation for internal user support.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA) are beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on‑site in Abu Dhabi, manage multiple priorities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
