In‑patient Pharmacist (UAE National)

About the role

Join a leading women’s and children’s specialty hospital in Abu Dhabi as an In‑patient Pharmacist. You will ensure safe, accurate, and efficient medication dispensing for all ambulatory patients while supporting high‑volume inpatient operations and medication‑safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and dispense inpatient prescriptions in line with DOH, JCI and hospital standards.
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, dosing, precautions and storage.
• Maintain timely dispensing to meet patient‑flow and waiting‑time targets.
• Identify and resolve therapeutic duplications, drug interactions and other medication‑related issues.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to clarify and optimise medication orders.
• Support medication‑safety programs, including LASA management and high‑alert medication guidelines.
• Manage inventory, monitor expiries and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Document interventions and contribute to quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Valid UAE Pharmacist (DOH) license or eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Experience in an inpatient or hospital pharmacy setting (preferred).
