Investment Banking Associate

About the role

Citi’s Middle East and Africa Investment Banking team is looking for a motivated Associate to join its Dubai office. The role supports the execution of a wide range of M&A, equity and debt capital market transactions while contributing to new business development across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day execution of M&A, equity capital markets, debt capital markets and strategic advisory mandates.
• Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses, DCFs, precedent transaction and comparable company analyses.
• Prepare high‑quality client materials such as pitch books, management presentations, information memoranda and board decks.
• Participate in client meetings, due‑diligence processes and coordinate information flow across deal teams.
• Support senior bankers in market mapping, sector research and the identification of new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional and global Citi teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients across MEA.

Required profile

• Prior investment banking experience with strong analytical and execution capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgement.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑border environment.
• Motivation to contribute across M&A, equity and debt capital markets.
