IT Supervisor - Hotel

About the role

Earth Jumeirah Beach is looking for an IT Supervisor, its sole IT lead, who is fully accountable for the daily operation of all hotel technology systems and for supporting staff and guests with reliable, secure and efficient IT services. Working independently, with technical direction from the Director of IT & Infrastructure, the role covers hands-on support, systems and infrastructure management, vendor coordination and cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities

• Own the daily functionality of all hotel IT systems, hardware and software, and provide hands-on technical support to staff across departments
• Troubleshoot system failures, connectivity issues and device problems, prioritise requests by operational impact and stay on call for critical outages
• Support guest-facing technology such as internet access, IPTV, telephones and in-room systems
• Administer PMS, POS, payment terminals, door locking and back-office applications, and plan updates and patches with vendors
• Maintain network performance, Wi-Fi coverage and connectivity, and enforce secure, segmented network access
• Manage user accounts, access rights and permissions, and conduct regular access reviews
• Ensure PCI DSS compliance for payment systems, investigate security incidents and deliver security awareness training
• Keep IT equipment rooms, cabling, servers, switches and access points in good order, and maintain asset, license and equipment records
• Manage hardware assignments, replacements, preventive maintenance and secure disposal
• Contribute to the annual IT budget and capital expenditure planning, and manage IT vendors and service providers against contracts and SLAs
• Lead procurement of IT equipment, ensure tested backups, and maintain IT documentation, network diagrams and SOPs
• Lead the IT response during outages, keep the Director of IT & Infrastructure informed of major incidents and risks, and follow property safety, health and service regulations
