About the role
A Java and Spring Boot QA Engineer is sought to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of backend applications and APIs. The role covers software testing, test automation and Java-based environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute functional, regression and integration tests.
- Test Java and Spring Boot applications, REST APIs and microservices.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Identify, document and track defects through to resolution.
- Perform database validation using SQL.
- Collaborate with developers and wider teams to improve software quality.
- Support continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines.
Required profile
- Experience in QA engineering within Java environments.
- Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot applications.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with JUnit, TestNG or similar testing frameworks.
- Understanding of SQL, REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience in Agile environments and use of Git and CI/CD tools.
