Junior Accountant - Real Estate Brokerage

About the role

A growing Dubai real estate brokerage is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations, including agent commission processing, invoicing, reconciliations and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Process and verify agent and broker commission payouts against deal documentation.
• Prepare and issue invoices, track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Process supplier invoices and prepare payment vouchers for approval.
• Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations.
• Maintain records of client deposits, security cheques and refunds.
• Assist with VAT calculations, documentation and quarterly VAT return preparation.
• Prepare monthly reports, schedules and supporting documents; assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and maintain organised digital and physical financial records.
• Coordinate with sales, HR and operations teams on finance-related queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance (mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory).
• Experience in real estate, brokerage or commission-based accounting.
• Familiarity with RERA/DLD-related financial documentation.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books or Tally.
• Strong Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Basic knowledge of UAE corporate tax.
