Junior Accountant – Revenue Recognition & Interline

About the role

The Junior Accountant (Revenue Recognition & Interline) will join Emirates Group’s Revenue Services team in Dubai, supporting the finance department’s mission to provide accurate financial information for aviation operations. You will handle revenue accounting transactions, resolve proration and tax exceptions, and ensure timely invoicing and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Process revenue accounting entries, raise invoices, and trigger accounting actions in line with approved standards.
• Handle proration, tax, fare construction, and yield exceptions using the RAPID system.
• Reconcile interline and revenue clearing accounts, and perform regular account reviews.
• Audit inward billed invoices and credit notes, raise rejections, and support pre/post‑closing functions.
• Respond to disputes, perform customer account reconciliations, and escalate settlement delays.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in finance and insurance accounting, specifically fare revenue protection, passenger flown, refunds, and revenue master management.
• Good analytical and investigative abilities with multitasking capability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of the RAPID Revenue Accounting Proration Interline and Decision Support System.
• Understanding of fare construction rules and IATA standards (preferred).
