Junior Buyer - Women's Activewear

About the role

Gymshark, a fast-growing performance activewear brand, is looking for a commercially driven Junior Buyer to join its GCC team and own the Women's Activewear category. The role covers about 400 options per season across the UAE and GCC, working with Gymshark and internal stakeholders to build successful assortments, spot trends and drive category performance. International travel to markets and events is an important part of the job.

Key responsibilities

• Define category strategy with Gymshark and internal stakeholders, and build assortments aligned to customer demand and regional objectives
• Use customer and store feedback to refine product selection and present performance, trends and trading recommendations to senior leadership
• Manage the full buying cycle: product selection, range planning, in-season trading and performance analysis
• Research trends and new activewear brands, and build strong supplier and brand partner relationships
• Negotiate, manage vendors and place repeat orders, keeping accurate buying records
• Work with Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Operations and Supply Chain teams
• Travel internationally to markets and events

Required profile

• At least 4 years of buying experience in activewear, sportswear, athleisure or a comparable retail business
• Proven experience managing a large portfolio of around 400 SKUs
• Strong expertise in Women's Activewear and performance apparel, with deep knowledge of market trends, consumer behaviour and competitors
• Fluent English and willingness to travel frequently

• Strong negotiation, analytical and commercial skills
• Experience presenting product and trend briefs to senior stakeholders
